New Britain, Connecticut Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in New Britain, Connecticut.

The Housing Authority of the City of New Britain (HACNB) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waitlist applications from September 18, 2023 until, September 22, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply while this waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Pick up the paper application from the HACNB office.

Once the application was completed, it was either:

1. Returned to the HACNB office drop box.
2. Mailed to the HACNB.
3. Faxed to the HACNB.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Victims of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking.
• Involuntary Displaced or Homeless.
• Veterans

1000 selected applicants were placed on this waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
